Style Code 5: Dressing the 'A'

Dress Code Formal's design team has submitted a series of tips for each type of female silhouette. There are 7 different shapes and each Style Code will cover one of the body types. Women who have a smaller bust or narrower shoulders and, proportionally, wider and fuller hips are in the 'A' body type. Women with 'A' silhouettes should focus on drawing attention to their top half and softly hugging their bottom half. If you are at Dress Code Formal looking for a bridesmaid dress, you can try silhouettes that have embellishments or details on the bust, such as ruffles, gathering, or pleating. Look for skirts with a soft A-line skirt, possibly in chiffon with a waist band on the natural or high waist.

If you are looking for an evening gown at Dress Code Formal, then try focusing on brighter tops and neutral bottoms. One-shoulder styles or styles with details and embellishments in the bust area help draw the attention of the eye upwards. You should also focus on softly gathered skirts, which help soften and smooth your bottom half.
